The atmosphere of this album is fantastic. Makes you feel like you're knee-deep in the trenches drenched in mud, filth, sweat, and blood. Truly encapsulates the horrors of World War I, and the fact that the lyrics of some of the songs are taken from old war letters really adds to the authenticity. I revisited the 2018 album and remembered how much this band stands out. Industrial is not always appealing, but some bands are definitely worth it. Borgne is a very solid representative of the genre. This music is not repetitive or annoying, and it’s definitely still black metal despite the industrial edge. Highly recommended. Metallurgical Fire
